Phluph is a good late 60s psychedelic rock band, with a single album released. Songs in the album are keyboards heavy, with clean vocals. Most of the lyrics are to me, of someone talking about their trip. "Death of a Nation" and "Love Eyes" are two beautiful songs and are a favorite of mine on this album.
Album information:
01- Doctor Mind
02- It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry
One of my favorite bands in the archive. Sadly the Part 2 never happened. There's too much information about this band online, but where ever you read, it might be different. They thought the vocals were of Jim Morrison's for example, and that he faked his death to perform in this side-band. That was of course untrue. Another thing is no one really knows who the Phantom (vocals) is, there are names online (Tom Carson for example) however I'm still skeptical. Talking about the music, this album is all heavy psychedelic rock. There are 9 songs in the album, the lyrics are mostly of a story, such as on "Merlin" and "Tales From A Wizard". Everyone must have this album saved somewhere.
Album information:
01. Tales From A Wizard
02. Devil's Child
03. Calm Before The Storm
04. Half A Life
05. Spiders Will Dance (On Your Face Will You Sleep)
This album will move you! A great heavy psychedelic rock example, in my opinion. It is hard to find too much information about this band, but their song "Sea of Nightmares" is probably known to some. "Angel of Love" is my favorite in the album.
Another one-album band, Parish Hall. Mostly hard rock and a bit of heavy psychedelia is how I'd explain this album. "My Eyes Are Getting Heavy" is probably the most known song by them, however my favorite in the album is "How Can You Win". Listen to this album.
Out of Focus is a progressive rock band from Germany. They are also mentioned as a Krautrock band as all others from the era, but I do not like the term. This selftitled album is actually their second, unfortunately this is the only one that I have in the archive. Prog lovers, gather around!
Album information:
01 - What Can A Poor Boy Do (But To Be A Streetfighting Man)
02 - It's Your Life
03 - Whispering
04 - Blue Sunday Morning
05 - Fly Bird Fly
06 - Television Programm
Band information:
Out Of Focus was a German "Krautrock" rock fusion band, formed in late-1968 in Munich, existing 5 years or so. They took their name from a Blue Cheer track, but had also been listening to Soft Machine and Xhol Caravan, and rapidly established a distinctive style blending rock and jazz, psychedelic overtones. A unique facet was the profound socio-political awareness of Moran Neumüller's songs. Although typically Munich styled (with Embryo and Sahara connections) they are often compared to Canterbury fusion and Scandinavian jazz-rock acts.
Heavy psychedelia? Proto-prog? Plain hard rock? I can not decide. Keyboards and the guitar blend in well together in this album. Sadly there is no information about this band online. Overall, good album for those who like heavy stuff.
Here comes the British Nirvana. This is an album that has both prog and psychedelic sound. "Miami Masquerade" is my favorite, a beautiful song. Love the vocals on all songs. The complete album name is "The Existence of Chance Is Everything and Nothing While the Greatest Achievement Is the Living of Life, and so Say ALL OF US". Yes.

06-The Show Must Go On
07-Girl In The Park

12-St.John's Wood Affair
13-Flashbulb (b-side single)
14-Oh! What A Performance (a-side single)
15-Darling Darlene (b-side single)
16-C Side Of Ocho Rios (b-side single)
Band information:
Nirvana was created as the performing arm of the London-based songwriting partnership of Irish musician Patrick Campbell-Lyons and Greek composer Alex Spyropoulos. On their recordings Campbell-Lyons and Spyropoulos supplied all the vocals. The instrumental work was primarily undertaken by top session musicians and orchestral musicians - with Campbell-Lyons providing a little guitar and Spyropoulos contributing some keyboards.
Musically, Campbell-Lyons and Spyropoulos blended myriad musical styles including rock, pop, folk, jazz, Latin rhythms and classical music, primarily augmented by baroque chamber-style arrangements to create a unique entity.
In October 1967, they released their first album: a concept album produced by Blackwell titled The Story of Simon Simopath. The album was arguably the first narrative concept album ever released, predating story-driven concept albums such as The Pretty Things' S.F. Sorrow (December 1968), The Who's Tommy (April 1969) and The Kinks' Arthur (September 1969).
Unable to perform their songs live as a duo and with the impending release of their first album, Campbell-Lyons and Spyropoulos decided to create a live performing ensemble and they recruited four musicians to enable them to undertake concerts and TV appearances. Though hired to be part of the live performance group rather than as band members, these four musicians were also included in the photograph alongside the core duo on the album cover of their first album to assist in projecting an image of a group rather than a duo. However they were not core founding members of the group and within a few months Nirvana had reverted to its original two-person lineup. The four musicians who augmented Campbell-Lyons and Spyropoulos on their live appearances and television shows for those few months were Ray Singer (guitar), Brian Henderson (bass), Sylvia A. Schuster (cello) and Michael Cole (French horn, viola).
In 1968, the duo recorded their second album, All Of Us, which featured a similar broad range of musical styles as their first album.
This album is a great mix of blues, psychedelic and progressive rock. One of the bands that I wish had more albums. The band name may be originated from Cream's "N.S.U.". Good vocals, good guitar work. From "bright" songs to "blues", it's all there. Songs "His Town" and "Love Talk" are my favorites. Below you'll listen to the song that gave the album it's name.
Mystic Tide, a band way ahead of their time. A psychedelic garage rock band, one of the best I dare say. This album was recorded between 1965 and 1969, it includes 18 tracks, most of them are favorites. You will find mellow tracks such as "I Wouldn't Care", and "Why". Then, you will find the hard stuff, "Frustration", "Mystic Ship" and "Psychedelic Journey". I love this band.
Album information:
1. I Wouldn't Care
2. Why
3. Stay Away
4. Search for New Love
5. Mystic Eyes
6. Frustration
7. Running Through the Night
8. Psychedelic Journey, Pt. 1
9. Psychedelic Journey, Pt. 2

Band information:
The Mystic Tide were an American rock band who have been credited for creating some of the first psychedelicanthems. They have also been called one of the best garage bands of the mid 1960s.
The group formed on Long Island and released a total of four singles between 1965 and 1967, all of which were written by the band's guitar player, Joe Docko. The band broke up in 1967 after little commercial success. Many years later in 1994 Docko recorded some new material and that along with three demos, the band's four original singles, and their B-sides would be put out as a CD by Distortions records. Released more than 25 years after the group had disbanded,Solid Sound/Solid Ground, was the first and only album the band ever made.
After all the prog albums, we're back to psychedelia. Mystic Siva is heavy on keyboards, more so than the guitar. I like the songs "Magic Luv" and "Supernatural Mind".
My Solid Ground is a prog/psyche/hard rock band, it basically is what you make it. For me it's a mix between heavy psychedelia and prog. Some of the songs are instrumental-heavy, if that's your thing, you'll love this album.
Album information:
01 - Dirty Yellow Dust
02 - Flash Party IV
03 - That's You
04 - The Executioner
05 - Melancholie
06 - Handful Of Grass
07 - Devonshire Street W

11 - Flash
12 - The Executioners (Demo)
13 - Handful Of Grass (Demo)
14 - That´s You (Diff. Mix)
15 - Dirty Yellow Mix (Demo)
Band information:
A little known hard rock and psychedelic band, who just made the one album, My Solid Ground were amongst the most obscure of acts on Bacillus Records, but these days they are much better known amongst Krautrock aficionados.
My Solid Ground originated in 1968 from the town Rüsselheim, with the line-up: Bernhard Rendel(guitars, vocals), with Willy Waid (drums) and Uli Weyrauch (bass). Establishing themselves as a psychedelic hard-rock band, unbefitting their name they were never a solid or stable band, with one Werner Geilenkirchen playing bass for a year before being replaced by Karl-Heinrich Dörfler. Gelling the sound proper was Ingo Werner on keyboards, however it seems that he kept leaving the band and returning.
I'm just beginning to realize how many prog rock bands I have in the archive, Murphy Blend is of course one of them. To me, they also have a psychedelic taste in the their sound. "At First" is my favorite in the album, try it.
Monument is for prog lovers, a heavy one. They could become an occult rock band with a couple changes, think of Coven, with male vocals. "Dog Man" is a great song, have a listen.
Morgen is from the US. Their song "Welcome to the Void" may be known by many of you, but I wanted to include the whole album here. I love Steve Morgen's vocals, somehow reminds me of Kim Fowley. "Of Dreams" is my favorite song in the album.
Album information:
01 - Welcome To The Void
02 - Of Dreams
03 - Beggin Your Pardon (Miss Joan)
04 - Eternity In Between
05 - Purple
06 - She's The Nitetime
07 - Love
Band information:
60's psychedelic band originally from Long Island, New York. Led by Steven Morgen, who simply named his band Morgen. Good effort, though pretty obscure. Trippy grooves with a lot of stone vibe. Scary-horror themed songs. Nice creepy vocals and acid guitars . Also the Jazz Rock is here .
The original sole 1969 recording was recently re-released on Probe label on 180 gram vinyl. Worth searching out if you like this stuff. Steve Morgen released a rare low-selling album in the late '60s, simply titled Morgen, that's highly regarded by some collectors, particularly those who like a sound balanced between psychedelia and the beginning of hard rock.
Morgen sang and wrote all of the material, which was very much of its time in its overlong, sometimes clumsy nature.
